A team of makers build WatchX which is the successor of NWatch originally designed by Zak Kemble and published here: http://blog.zakkemble.co.uk/diy-digital-wristwatch/
The new watch has improvements like:
- Bluetooth connectivity
- Sensor add-ons: accelerometer/Gyroscope, barometric pressure sensor, temperature sensor, magnetometer
- USB programable
- Scratch compatible.
- Improved PCB design(Dispaly connects with ffc connector so that once broken easy to change or use watchX at projects that does not require a display, battery connects via connector as well)
and can be used as a wearable development platform. An Indiegogo campaing is now live: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/watchx-wearable-development-platform-arduino#/
